DALL’ORTO S.A. with it’s main branch in Costa Rica, produces and exports exotic fruit, more specifically pineapple, bananas, and melon, to the North American and European markets.

The story of DALL’ORTO S.A. begins in 1992, when Luigi Scavetta, entrepreneur of the hotel business, decided to invest in the tropical paradise of Costa Rica.

In the year 2000, Scavetta started to produce pineapple, using the farms in his property, and to sell his annual production to several important and prestigious multinational companies.

He made an exporting company with his label, “Dall’Orto”, in the year 2005. Said company took on the name DALL’ORTO ANONIMOUS SOCIETY (DALL’ORTO S.A.).

In the same year he began exporting directly to the North American (US and Canada) market first and then to the European market later, using commissionaires chosen and positioned in the different locations.

Our mission to deliver to our clients, and in doing so to the consumer as well, a product of the highest quality and freshness with the best service and in the least time possible. While at the same time keeping in mind all the rules and regulations for security’s sake.

Our control system helps each and every process, from production to transport, contribute to assure the high quality of the product until it reaches the final consumer.
